Privacy Policy

The short version

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It uses a privacy-focused analytics service to count visits in aggregate — no cookies, no advertising, and no profile that follows you across other sites. That service does briefly process your IP address and browser type to do the counting; the detail is in the Analytics section below. If you contact us through the form on this site, we receive what you choose to put in it. There is nothing else — no account to create, and no tracking of you across other sites.

Who we are

Launch MSP, LLC is a Maryland limited liability company providing managed IT, cybersecurity, and compliance services to organizations in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. We are headquartered in Maryland and trade as Launch MSP.

What this website does not do

This site does not:

• set cookies, or store anything in your browser
• use advertising, or build a profile that follows you across other sites
• load fonts, scripts, or images from third-party servers
• include social media widgets or embedded players

This site runs on WordPress. Page content is held in a database on our hosting provider’s infrastructure and served as ordinary web pages. There is no visitor registration and there are no visitor accounts — the only accounts are staff accounts used to edit the site, and signing in sets session cookies for that account rather than for visitors. Analytics requests are relayed through our own domain rather than sent to a third party by your browser; see the Analytics section.

Analytics

To understand in aggregate which pages are read and where visitors come from, we use Plausible Analytics as our analytics provider. Plausible is a privacy-focused service: it uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not track you across other websites or build an advertising profile of you. Its data is hosted in the European Union.

We serve Plausible through our own domain, so your browser never connects directly to it. The tracker is written by Plausible; your browser retrieves it through our domain rather than connecting to plausible.io. To do the counting, our server forwards each page view to Plausible along with your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string. Plausible uses these transiently to work out a daily count of unique visitors and to derive approximate location and device type — and, per its data policy, it does not store your raw IP address or use it to identify you. Plausible acts as our data processor here and does not use the data for its own purposes.

What is measured is limited to page views, the referring site, approximate country and device type, and interactions such as outbound-link clicks, file downloads, and form submissions.

Your control. Because Plausible sets no cookies, there is no consent banner to dismiss. Plausible sets nothing on your device and does not sell or share your information. Analytics is not essential to this site; if you block it with a content blocker or browser extension, everything else works normally.

The contact form

The form asks for your name, work email, organization, industry, whether you have internal IT, and whatever you choose to tell us about what you need. Using it is optional in the sense that you do not have to — you can email or call instead.

Submissions are delivered to us by email and stored on this website’s hosting, so that an enquiry is not lost if email delivery fails. We use what you send to reply to you and, where it becomes a business relationship, to provide our services. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Delivery of that email is handled by Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), processing it in the United States solely in order to deliver it to us. It is used to send mail, not to analyse it: we do not track whether you open or click anything we send you.

The form uses no third-party anti-spam service. It carries a hidden field that automated submissions tend to fill in and people do not, which is checked and discarded on our server. It also records which page you came from, so we know which part of the site prompted you to get in touch.

Information our hosting provider processes

This site is hosted by Kinsta, in a data centre in Ashburn, Virginia. Kinsta uses Cloudflare for security and content delivery and Amazon Route 53 for DNS, and stores server access logs in the United States. Like any web host, these providers process the technical information your browser sends in order to deliver a page and to protect the service from abuse — typically your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user-agent string. We do not use this information for marketing, we do not combine it with anything else, and we do not attempt to identify you from it. Information you send us directly

If you email or call us, we receive whatever you choose to include. We use it to respond to you and, where it becomes a business relationship, to provide our services. Email is handled in Microsoft 365.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep things

Business correspondence is retained for as long as it is needed for the relationship it belongs to, and afterwards for the period our legal, tax, and contractual obligations require. Form submissions are kept on the site’s hosting on the same basis, and the email logs that record delivery are deleted automatically after 14 days. You can ask us to delete correspondence that we are not obliged to keep.

Your choices

There are no cookies to manage and no consent banner to dismiss. Analytics can be blocked with a content blocker or browser extension — see the Analytics section above. For information you have sent us directly, you can ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond.

Client data

This policy covers this website only. Information we process on behalf of clients while delivering services — including any regulated data such as CUI or PHI — is governed by the agreement with that client, not by this page.

This site contains links to third-party resources, including our LinkedIn page and Plausible. Once you follow a link away from this site, the privacy practices of that service apply, not ours.

Children

This is a business-to-business site and is not directed to children.

Changes

If we add a feature that changes what is collected — online scheduling, for example — we will update this page before it goes live and change the date at the top.
